Car
If you're driving from Sudbury, ON, take Highway 17 east towards Espanola. After about 80 km, take the exit onto Highway 6 north towards Manitoulin Island. Continue on Highway 6 for approximately 65 km until you reach the town of Gore Bay. Once in Gore Bay, turn onto Lighthouse Road. The Janet Head Lighthouse is located at 621 Lighthouse Rd, Gore Bay, ON P0P 1H0. There is no entry fee to visit the lighthouse.
Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, take a Greyhound bus to Gore Bay from locations such as Sudbury or Toronto. Upon arrival at the Gore Bay bus station, which is located in the town center, you will need to arrange for a taxi or rideshare service to reach Janet Head Lighthouse, as it is about 5 km away from the bus station. Taxis may charge around $15-$20 CAD for the ride. Ensure to check the bus schedule in advance, as service may vary.
