Getting There

• Car

  If you are driving from anywhere in the Ottawa Valley, head towards the city of Ottawa. Use Highway 416 or Highway 417. If you are coming from the west, you can take Highway 7 to connect to Highway 416. Once you are in Ottawa, follow signs for the Ottawa River Parkway (Kichi Zībī Mīkan). Exit onto the parkway and continue until you reach Remic Rapids Park, located at Kichi Zībī Mīkan, Ottawa, ON K1A 0K9. The park entrance will be on your right.

• Public Transportation

  To reach Remic Rapids Park via public transit, start by taking OC Transpo bus number 85 from downtown Ottawa towards the 'Queensway Carleton Hospital'. You will need to transfer to bus number 6 at the 'Westboro Station'. Once on bus 6, get off at the 'Kichi Zībī Mīkan' stop. From there, it is a short walk (around 5 minutes) to Remic Rapids Park. Be sure to check the OC Transpo website or app for the latest schedule and fare information.

• Bicycle

  For those interested in cycling, you can follow the Ottawa River Pathway. The pathway runs along the river and connects various parks. From downtown Ottawa, head west along the pathway. Follow the signs directing you toward Remic Rapids Park. The park is approximately a 30-minute bike ride from downtown. Ensure your bike is in good condition for the ride.

• Walking

  If you are staying nearby (for example, in the Westboro area), you can walk to Remic Rapids Park. Start by heading west along the Ottawa River Pathway. The park is located along the water's edge, and it should take you approximately 20-30 minutes on foot to reach the park from the Westboro area. Be sure to wear comfortable shoes and enjoy the scenic views along the way.
