Public Transit
If you are starting from downtown Ottawa, take the OC Transpo bus route 118 from the Rideau Centre. Board the bus at the Rideau Centre stop. Stay on the bus for about 30 minutes until you reach the 'Wakefield' stop. From there, transfer to the local bus route 1, which will take you closer to La Confiserie Wakefield Confectionery. Get off at the 'Riverside' stop, and from there, it's a short 5-minute walk down Chem. Riverside. The shop will be on your left at 817 Chem. Riverside.
Walking
If you are close to the Gatineau Park and want to enjoy a scenic walk, start at the entrance of Gatineau Park and follow the paths leading towards Wakefield. The distance is approximately 5km, so it will take you about an hour. Follow the signs towards Wakefield and once you reach the village, head towards Chem. Riverside where La Confiserie is located at number 817.
Bicycle
For those who prefer cycling, you can rent a bike from one of the many bike rental stations in downtown Ottawa. Take the river pathway along the Ottawa River towards Gatineau. Follow the signs for the 'Gatineau Park' and keep going until you reach Wakefield. Once you enter the village, look for Chem. Riverside and head to 817 Chem. Riverside. The bike ride will take approximately 30-45 minutes depending on your speed.
