Once you reach the canal, turn left and follow the pathway along the canal's edge. Continue walking south until you reach the intersection at Colonel By Drive. Cross the road and continue along the pathway, which will lead you to the Corktown Footbridge.

From downtown Ottawa, head to the nearest bus stop and take the bus route 1 or 7 heading towards the Rideau Centre. Get off at the 'Catherine Street' stop. From there, walk east on Catherine Street until you reach the intersection with the Rideau Canal. Turn right to access the pathway along the canal which will lead you to the Corktown Footbridge.
