Getting There

• Car

  If you're driving to Place d'Armes in Quebec City, you can take Autoroute 40 (Trans-Canada Highway) if you're coming from the west. Follow signs for Quebec City. Once you enter the city, take the exit toward Rue de la Couronne. Continue on Rue de la Couronne, then turn left onto Rue Saint-Jean. Follow this road until you reach Rue des Jardins, where you will turn right. Finally, follow the signs to Place d'Armes, which is located near the intersection of Rue des Jardins and Rue Sainte-Anne. Keep in mind that there are parking options nearby, but they may require payment (approximately $3 to $5 per hour).

• Public Transportation

  To reach Place d'Armes using public transportation, take the RTC bus service. If you're starting from the Old Port area, board the 1 or 3 bus at the nearest stop. The bus will take you to the Place d'Armes stop, which is just a short walk away from the site. The fare for a single trip is around $3.50 CAD. Make sure to check the RTC schedule for the latest times, as service frequency may vary.

• Walking

  If you're already in the Old Quebec area, Place d'Armes is within walking distance. Head towards Rue Sainte-Anne, which is a major street in Old Quebec. Walk straight until you reach Rue des Jardins, then turn right. Continue walking and you will see Place d'Armes ahead. This route is approximately a 10-minute walk, and you'll pass several charming shops and cafes along the way.
