Immerse Yourself in the History and Beauty of the Lakeshore Park Kwakiutl Totem Pole

Getting There

• Walking

  If you are starting from the downtown area of Regina, head east on Victoria Avenue toward Albert Street. Continue straight for about 1 km until you reach the intersection with Broad Street. Turn left onto Broad Street and walk for about 500 meters. You will come to Wascana Park; continue straight through the park's main entrance. Follow the path that runs alongside Wascana Lake, heading south for approximately 1 km. The Kwakiutl Totem Pole is located in Lakeshore Park, which will be on your left as you approach the lake.

• Public Transit

  Board bus number 1 or 6 at any downtown bus stop. Make sure to check the schedule for the next departure. The bus will take you along Victoria Avenue. Get off at the stop near the intersection of Broad Street and Victoria Avenue. From there, walk south along Broad Street for about 500 meters until you reach Wascana Park. Enter the park and follow the path that runs along the lake, heading south for about 1 km until you see the Kwakiutl Totem Pole in Lakeshore Park.

• Biking

  If you prefer cycling, rent a bike from a local rental service. Start from downtown Regina and head east on Victoria Avenue. After about 1 km, turn left onto Broad Street. Continue straight until you enter Wascana Park. Once in the park, follow the designated bike paths towards the lake. Stay along the southern edge of the park, cycling for about 1 km until you reach Lakeshore Park where the Kwakiutl Totem Pole is located.
