If you're driving, the West Montrose Covered Bridge is located at 1 Covered Bridge Dr, West Montrose, ON N0B 2V0. From Toronto, take Highway 401 West to Highway 10 North. Follow Highway 10 North until you reach Highway 7. Turn left onto Highway 7 and continue until you reach the town of Elora. From Elora, take County Road 21 South, which will lead you directly to West Montrose. Look for signs directing you to the bridge. There is no entrance fee to visit the bridge.

Public Transportation
To reach West Montrose by public transportation, you can take a GO Transit train from Toronto to Guelph. Once in Guelph, transfer to Grand River Transit (GRT) bus route 13 towards Elora. Get off at the stop closest to the intersection of County Road 21 and Covered Bridge Dr. From there, it is a short walk to the bridge. Be sure to check the latest bus schedules on the GRT website as they can vary. Note that public transportation may take longer and it’s advisable to plan your trip ahead of time.

For those who enjoy cycling, you can bike from nearby areas such as Elora or Fergus. The route along County Road 21 offers scenic views and is relatively flat. Ensure you have a proper bike and safety gear, and plan your route using a map application. The ride from Elora to West Montrose is approximately 15 kilometers and can take about an hour. There are no fees for biking to the bridge.
