Car
If you're traveling by car, start your journey in the town of Pucón. From the center of Pucón, head south on Avenida O'Higgins, which turns into Ruta 199. Continue on this road for about 9 km until you reach a fork. Take the left fork to stay on Ruta 199, following the signs for Parque Nacional Villarrica. After approximately 10 km, you will reach the entrance to El Cerduo, which is well-marked. Ensure you have cash ready for the entrance fee, which is approximately 5,000 CLP per person.
Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, begin at the Pucón bus terminal. Take a bus heading towards Parque Nacional Villarrica; these buses typically run every hour. The ride will take about 30 minutes. Inform the driver that you wish to get off at El Cerduo. Once you arrive at the drop-off point, it is a short 1 km walk to the entrance of the site. Be prepared for a moderate uphill walk, and ensure you have cash on hand if you need to pay for entrance fees.
