Bus
From the center of Iquique (Plaza Prat), walk to the nearby bus terminal, Terminal de Buses Iquique, which is about a 10-minute walk. Look for buses heading to Alto Hospicio. Once you find a bus that says 'Alto Hospicio', board it. The journey will take approximately 30 minutes. Ask the driver to let you know when you reach Calle de Servicio, and get off there. From the bus stop, walk about 10 minutes northeast along Calle de Servicio to reach Santa Laura Saltpeter.

Head to the nearest colectivo taxi stand in Iquique, usually found near main squares or busy streets. Look for a taxi marked for Alto Hospicio. Share the ride with others if possible. There are several bicycle rental shops near the beach in Iquique. Rent a bicycle and head east towards Avenida Francisco Bilbao. Follow Avenida Francisco Bilbao until you reach Calle de Servicio. Take a right onto Calle de Servicio and continue riding for about 2 kilometers. Santa Laura Saltpeter will be on your left at Calle de Servicio 3672. The ride should take about 15-20 minutes.
