Getting There

• Car

  If you are driving, start on Route 5 (Pan-American Highway) heading south from Valdivia. Continue on Route 5 for approximately 100 km until you reach the town of Panguipulli. From Panguipulli, turn onto Route T-55 towards Curarrehue. After about 30 km, follow the signs to Saltos Pocolpén Park. The park is located at Pocolpén s/n - Familia Martínez Lagos, just off the road, and there is parking available at the entrance.

• Public Transportation

  For public transportation, take a bus from Valdivia to Panguipulli. Buses run frequently throughout the day and the journey takes approximately 1.5 to 2 hours. Once you arrive in Panguipulli, you can take a local bus or a taxi to Saltos Pocolpén Park, which is about 30 km away. Make sure to confirm the bus schedule in advance, as services may vary. A taxi from Panguipulli to the park may cost around 20,000 to 30,000 CLP, depending on negotiation.

• Taxi or Rideshare

  If you prefer more direct transportation from Panguipulli, you can take a taxi or use a rideshare service. This option is more convenient, especially if you're traveling with a group or have luggage. The cost will be similar to the local taxi fare mentioned above, and it will take about 30 minutes to reach Saltos Pocolpén Park.

• Walking

  If you are already in Curarrehue, you can walk to Saltos Pocolpén Park from the town center. It's approximately a 5 km walk along the scenic roads leading to the park. Ensure to wear comfortable shoes and bring water, as the walk can take about 1 to 1.5 hours.
