Car
If you're driving from Bariloche, take Route 40 south towards El Bolsón. The journey takes about 2 hours. Once you arrive in El Bolsón, follow signs to the town center and look for Route 16. Turn onto Route 16 and continue for about 10 km until you reach the entrance to the Cascada Escondida trailhead. There is a small parking area available. The trail to the waterfall is approximately a 30-minute hike from the parking lot.
Public Transportation
From Bariloche, you can take a bus to El Bolsón. The buses run regularly and the trip takes about 2 hours. Once you arrive in El Bolsón, you can take a local taxi or a rideshare to reach the trailhead for Cascada Escondida. Alternatively, you can walk to Route 16 from the bus terminal and catch a local bus or hitchhike to the trailhead, which is about 10 km away. Be sure to confirm the bus schedule as it may vary.
Hiking
After parking your car or arriving by taxi, you'll need to hike approximately 1.5 km along a marked trail to reach Cascada Escondida. The hike is relatively easy but can be muddy in parts, so good hiking shoes are recommended. Follow the signs along the trail, and enjoy the beautiful scenery along the way. The waterfall is at the end of the trail, and it's a great place to relax and take photos.
