Getting There

• Car

  If you are traveling by car, the closest major city is Chaitén. From Chaitén, take the Ruta 7 (Carretera Austral) south towards Futaleufú. After approximately 100 km, you will reach Futaleufú. Once in Futaleufú, follow the signs towards Fundo La Confluencia. The lodge is located at Fundo La Confluencia s/n, approximately 15 km from the town center. The road to the lodge is generally well-maintained but may have some unpaved sections.

• Public Transportation

  Take a bus from either Puerto Varas or Chaitén to Futaleufú. Bus services such as Buses Futaleufú operate daily routes. The journey from Chaitén to Futaleufú takes about 2 hours. Once you arrive in Futaleufú, you can hire a taxi or arrange for a transfer to Uman Lodge, which is about a 15 km ride. Make sure to confirm the cost of the taxi beforehand, as it can vary.

• Taxi

  If you prefer a more direct option, you can take a taxi from Futaleufú to Uman Lodge. Taxis are available in the town, and the ride will take around 20 minutes. Be sure to negotiate the fare in advance, which typically ranges from CLP 10,000 to CLP 15,000 depending on the time of day and driver.

• Bicycle

  For the adventurous traveler, renting a bicycle in Futaleufú is a great way to reach Uman Lodge. The ride is approximately 15 km and will take about 1-2 hours, depending on your cycling speed. Ensure you have a map or GPS device to assist with navigation, as some routes may be less marked. The scenery along the way is beautiful, showcasing the stunning landscapes of Patagonia.
