From the center of San Pedro de Atacama, head east on Caracoles Street until you reach the intersection with Toconao Street. Turn left onto Toconao Street and continue walking for about 1 kilometer. You will pass local shops and restaurants. Keep walking until you reach the main road (Route 23). Turn right and continue along this road for approximately 12 kilometers. Look for signs indicating Llano de Chajnantor Observatory, which will be on your left. This walk will take around 2 to 3 hours, so ensure you wear comfortable shoes and bring water.

Rent a bicycle from one of the many rental shops in San Pedro de Atacama. Start by heading east on Caracoles Street, then turn left onto Toconao Street. The ride should take approximately 1 to 1.5 hours, depending on your cycling speed.
