Car
If you are driving from Iquique, take Route 5 north towards Arica. The drive is approximately 4 hours (approximately 300 km). As you approach Arica, follow the signs directing you to the city center. Once in Arica, you can park near the base of Morro de Arica. There are parking lots available, and it may cost around CLP 1,000 to CLP 2,000 for a few hours of parking.
Public Transportation (Bus)
To reach Morro de Arica by bus, head to the main bus terminal in Iquique. Buses to Arica run frequently, and the journey takes about 4-5 hours. The ticket prices range from CLP 8,000 to CLP 15,000 depending on the bus company and class. Once you arrive at the Arica bus terminal, you can take a local taxi or a shared van (known as 'micro') to Morro de Arica. The taxi ride to the base of the hill will cost around CLP 2,000 - CLP 3,000.
Walking
After arriving in Arica via car or bus, you can reach Morro de Arica on foot. From the city center, head towards the coast and look for the prominent hill. The walk is about 15-20 minutes from the main plaza. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes, as the path can be steep and rocky.
