Getting There

  • Car

    If you're traveling by car from Valle de la Luna, first head towards the main road (Ruta 23) that leads to San Pedro de Atacama. Make sure to follow the signs for San Pedro, as they are clearly marked. Once on Ruta 23, continue for approximately 13 kilometers until you reach the junction with Ruta 27. Turn left onto Ruta 27, and proceed for about 8 kilometers. You will see signs pointing towards Ojos del Salar. Turn right at the sign and follow the unpaved road for about 2 kilometers to reach the Ojos del Salar.

  • Public Transportation

    To reach Ojos del Salar via public transportation, take a bus from San Pedro de Atacama to the entrance of Valle de la Luna. Buses generally leave from the main bus station in San Pedro. Once you arrive at the Valle de la Luna, you can either walk or hire a local taxi to take you to Ojos del Salar.
