Getting There

  If you are driving, head towards Santa Marta, Magdalena. From Santa Marta, take the route towards the Rodadero area. Once you reach Rodadero, continue on the main road until you see signs directing you to Playa Blanca. The road will lead to a parking area near the beach. Be aware that parking may incur a fee of approximately 10,000 COP. From the parking area, you may need to walk a short distance to reach the beach.

• Public Transportation (Bus)

  If you prefer public transportation, you can take a bus from the Santa Marta main bus terminal. Look for buses heading towards Palomino or Tayrona Park, as they often stop near Playa Blanca. The bus fare is typically around 5,000 COP. Inform the driver of your destination, and they will drop you off at the nearest point to Playa Blanca. From there, you will need to walk to the beach, which is a short distance away.

• Taxi

  Another option is to take a taxi from Santa Marta to Playa Blanca. This is a more direct and comfortable way to reach your destination but will be more expensive. Expect to pay around 40,000 to 60,000 COP for the ride, depending on traffic and the exact pick-up location in Santa Marta. Confirm the fare with the driver before starting your journey. Taxis will drop you off close to the beach entrance.

• Boat

  For those looking for a scenic route, consider taking a boat from Santa Marta's marina. Several companies offer boat rides to Playa Blanca, which can be a fun experience. Prices can range from 15,000 to 30,000 COP per person, depending on the provider. The boat ride usually takes about 30 minutes, and you will be dropped off directly on the beach.
