Walking
If you're starting in the historic center of Cartagena, head towards Plaza de los Coches. From there, walk along Calle de la Media Luna until you reach the intersection with Calle del Cuartel. Turn right onto Calle del Cuartel and continue straight until you reach the Plaza de San Pedro Claver. From the plaza, head south on Avenida del Libertador. You will see signs directing you towards La Popa. Follow the road until you reach the base of the hill. At this point, you can either continue walking up the hill (it’s a steep climb, approximately 1.5 km) or look for a local bus or moto-taxi that can take you to the convent entrance. If walking, the path will be paved but steep. The convent is located at the top of the hill, and you will be rewarded with stunning views of Cartagena upon arrival.

Public Transport
From the historic center, head to the nearest bus stop and catch a local bus heading towards La Popa. Look for buses with 'La Popa' or 'Convento' written on them. The ride will take approximately 15-20 minutes. Once you arrive at the base of the convent, you may need to walk up the final stretch, as some buses do not go all the way to the top. It’s a short, steep walk but well worth it for the views and the destination.
