• Car

  From Guatapé, start your journey by heading southwest on the road towards El Peñol. After about 4 km, take a right onto the road that leads to the Autopista Medellín-Bogotá (Route 60). Continue on this road for approximately 60 km. You will pass the town of Marinilla and continue toward Rionegro. Stay on the Autopista for about 25 km until you reach the exit for Puerto Boyacá. Follow the signs for Puerto Boyacá and take the exit. Once on the local roads, follow the signs to your destination.

• Public Transportation

  To reach Puerto Boyacá by public transportation, first, make your way to the Guatapé bus terminal. Look for buses heading to Medellín or Rionegro as they often pass through Puerto Boyacá. The bus ride may take around 2 to 3 hours depending on traffic. Ensure to confirm with the bus driver that they will make a stop at Puerto Boyacá. The fare is usually around 15,000 to 20,000 COP. After arriving at Puerto Boyacá, you can walk to nearby attractions or take a local taxi if further travel is needed.

• Taxi

  If you prefer a more direct route, you can hire a taxi from Guatapé to Puerto Boyacá. This option is faster and more convenient, especially if you are traveling in a group. The journey will take approximately 1.5 to 2 hours, depending on traffic conditions. The cost for a taxi can vary, but expect to pay between 100,000 to 150,000 COP. Make sure to agree on the fare with the driver before starting your trip.
