Araucarias Park, located in the heart of Santa Rosa de Cabal, Risaralda, is more than just a park; it's a historical and cultural landmark. Originally named “Plaza Cristobal Colon,” the park was built in 1930 and later renamed for the twelve Araucaria trees that surround it. Today, only eleven remain, one having been lost in a fire in 1988.
The park features pedestrian paths laid out in diamond patterns, extensive green areas, and benches, offering a peaceful escape. The park's lighting is inspired by the Eiffel Tower. At the center stands a monument to Simón Bolívar, an equestrian statue created by Alonso Neira and installed in 1989.

Once in Santa Rosa, the bus will typically drop passengers off a few blocks from the main plaza. From there, it is a short walk to Araucarias Park. Bus fare from Pereira to Santa Rosa de Cabal is approximately 2,000 COP.
