Amazing tour

We had a great 4 day trip to the lost city with guide Miguel and cook Ricardo. The views were amazing and we had the chance to meet local people. There are also stops where you cab swim in the river and near waterfalls.

Incredible experience. Excelent tour guides.

I took this tour about a year ago. I decided to celebrate my 71 birthday up in that mountain. The experience was awsome. Ruth, mainly, the guide who help me and was with me all the time was incredible. This lady did all that he could for anyone in that group. I do not remeber how many people in my group but I remember that most were very young, I was always the last person getting to whereever was the objective on that day, and also the most celebrated. The rest of the kids in the group always showed happiness when I reached our goal for the day.I have nothing but GOOD things to say about this experience. I also give thanks to all the guides and the person, whose name I don't remember that help me carring my bag. The tour is excelent and very reasonable for all you get.Accomodations were great and it was a miracle to find a beer for less than $3 in 3,000 feet above sea level ! Thank you and sorry for I never took the time to write the review before.

Last minute booking when the weather for a boat trip turned unfavorable - lucky turn of events. Andres was our energetic and knowledgeable guide, who took us to taste ~8 dishes at 5 spots, most of which we would not have noticed or sampled had we been wandering on our own. The highlights included a street vendor, who goes to work at 2:30 am every day to start cooking and buying fresh fish and ingredients, and makes a fish soup and a shrimp rice that were incredible. It was hot and humid, and we were hesitant about eating hot soup in the afternoon, but once we sampled it we could not stop. Also stopped at a fruit stand and tried a variety of tropical fruits, some of which we had never heard of, many of which are not available outside of this area (lulo, zapote, tree tomato, passion fruit, gulupa, guava, sour orange, corozo, mango. Followed with icy fresh fruit juices (lulo, maracumango). Also tried local coffee with cinnamon, arepa de huevo (with fried egg inside), cayeye and chicharrones, and local gelato. We were so stuffed we couldn't finish each course. So glad we did this tour!
