However, the park's most iconic feature is the miniature Eiffel Tower, designed by Gustav Eiffel, the same engineer behind the original Parisian landmark. The components were shipped from France in 1908 and assembled by local engineers. For its first 16 years, the tower functioned as a weather station.Today, Simón Bolívar Park is a beloved gathering place for locals and tourists alike.
