Getting There

• Car

  From the main entrance of Tayrona National Natural Park, head southeast on the road towards Santa Marta. Continue driving for approximately 30 kilometers (about 45 minutes). Follow signs towards Santa Marta and then take the exit towards El Rodadero. Once you reach El Rodadero, follow the road signs, and you'll find Nuevo Rodadero, a beach area nearby. Make sure to check for parking availability as it can get crowded, especially during weekends.

• Public Transportation - Bus

  From the entrance of Tayrona National Natural Park, walk to the nearest bus stop where you can catch a bus heading to Santa Marta. Buses run frequently, so you shouldn't have to wait long. The fare is typically around 4,000 COP. Once you arrive at the Santa Marta bus terminal, transfer to a local bus or taxi heading to El Rodadero. The fare for this part is usually between 2,000 to 5,000 COP. After reaching El Rodadero, follow the signs to Nuevo Rodadero, which is a short walk from the bus stop.

• Shared Taxi

  If you prefer a quicker and more direct option, you can arrange a shared taxi from Tayrona National Natural Park to Nuevo Rodadero. This can be done by asking around in the park for any taxi services available. The cost for this ride can vary but is generally around 25,000 to 35,000 COP per person, depending on the number of passengers. The taxi will take you directly to Nuevo Rodadero, making stops as needed along the way.
