Walking
From downtown Aspen, the Aspen Recreation Center is approximately a 20-30 minute walk. Head west on Main Street, then turn left ontoOriginal Street Bridge. Continue onto Cemetery Ln, then turn right onto CO-82 W. Turn right onto Maroon Creek Rd, and the Aspen Recreation Center will be on your left. This is a scenic walk, but be mindful of traffic on Maroon Creek Road.
Public Transport
The Roaring Fork Transportation Authority (RFTA) provides free bus service around Aspen. Several RFTA bus routes stop near the Aspen Recreation Center. Check the RFTA website or app for the most up-to-date schedules and routes. Bus service between Aspen and Snowmass Village is fare-free. From Rubey Park in downtown Aspen, take a RFTA bus towards Aspen Highlands. Get off at the stop closest to the Aspen Recreation Center on Maroon Creek Road. The ride is approximately 10-15 minutes, and the walk from the bus stop to the ARC is short.
Taxi/Ride-Share
Taxis and ride-sharing services are readily available in Aspen. A taxi or ride-share from downtown Aspen to the Aspen Recreation Center typically costs between $15 and $25, depending on the time of day and demand. Be sure to confirm the fare with the driver before you begin your trip.
