Driving
From Crawford, Colorado, head south on Highway 92. Just south of Crawford State Park, turn west onto Black Canyon Road and follow the signs to the park's North Rim. The last 7 miles are unpaved but generally accessible to most vehicles in decent weather. Continue past the North Rim Ranger Station to the North Rim Campground. The Chasm View Trailhead is at the end of the campground loop. Parking is limited, especially during peak season.
Walking
From the Chasm View Trailhead parking area, the Chasm View Nature Trail is a short, easy loop. The trail begins near the primitive restrooms and is well-marked. Follow the trail counter-clockwise, taking the right fork at the trailhead to reach the first viewpoint. The overlook is a short walk from the trailhead.
