Shuttle
During peak season, parking at Bear Lake Trailhead is limited. Utilize the free park shuttle from the Park & Ride near the Bierstadt Trailhead. The shuttle drops you off directly at the Bear Lake Trailhead, the starting point for the hike to Lake Haiyaha. Shuttle service is free, but a timed entry permit may be required to access Bear Lake Road. Check the National Park Service website for current schedules and permit requirements.

From the Bear Lake Trailhead, follow the well-marked trail towards Nymph Lake and Dream Lake. The trail is approximately 4.2 miles round trip with an elevation gain of 745 feet. At the junction just before Dream Lake, turn left towards Lake Haiyaha. The final approach to the lake involves navigating a boulder field. No special equipment is needed, but sturdy hiking shoes are recommended.
