Getting There

    If you are near the Canon City Riverwalk, head northeast on the Riverwalk Trail until you reach the intersection with 3rd Street. Turn left onto 3rd Street and walk until you reach the intersection with Main Street. Continue walking straight on 3rd Street, which will eventually turn into 1st Street. The Museum of Colorado Prisons will be on your right at 201 N 1st St.

    From the Canon City Public Library, walk to the nearest bus stop at 1st and Main. Take the local bus that goes towards the downtown area. Make sure to get off at the stop at 1st and Main. From there, walk north on 1st Street for about two blocks, and you will reach the Museum of Colorado Prisons at 201 N 1st St.

    If you have a bike, start from the Canon City park area. Head towards the Riverwalk and follow the trail that runs alongside the Arkansas River.
