The Royal Gorge Route Railroad is located at the Santa Fe Depot in Cañon City. From Denver, take I-25 S to CO-115 S in Colorado Springs, then US-50 W to Cañon City. From Colorado Springs, take CO-115 S to US-50 W. Follow signs to the Santa Fe Depot at 401 Water Street. Free parking is available near the depot. Note that the drive from Denver is approximately 2 hours and from Colorado Springs, about an hour.

Public Transport
While there isn't a direct public transportation route to the Royal Gorge Route Railroad, you can take a bus from Denver or Colorado Springs to Pueblo and then transfer to a CDOT Outrider bus to Cañon City. From the Cañon City bus stop, it's a short taxi or ride-share to the Santa Fe Depot. Bus fare from Colorado Springs to Pueblo is approximately $10-$20, and the CDOT Outrider from Pueblo to Cañon City is around $5-$10. A taxi from the Cañon City bus stop to the depot will cost approximately $8-$15.

If you are already in downtown Cañon City, the Santa Fe Depot is easily accessible on foot. Head towards the west end of town and turn south on 3rd Street. The depot is one block south of Highway 50. There are sidewalks along the way. Walking from the center of town will take approximately 10-15 minutes.
