    Start at the Cañon City Visitor Center located at Cié 448, 414 Main St, Cañon City, CO 81212. From the Visitor Center, head south on Main St towards 4th St. Turn left onto 4th St and continue walking until you reach the intersection with Royal Gorge Blvd. Turn right onto Royal Gorge Blvd. After about 0.5 miles, you will reach the intersection with Garden Park Rd. Turn left onto Garden Park Rd. Continue straight for about 1.5 miles. The Garden Park Fossil Area will be on your right. It is a short walk from the road to the entrance.

    If you have access to a bicycle, start at the Cañon City Riverwalk. Head south on the Riverwalk until you reach the end and turn left onto Main St. Continue on Main St until you reach the intersection with 4th St. Turn right onto 4th St and head towards Royal Gorge Blvd. Turn right onto Royal Gorge Blvd and bike for about 1 mile until you reach the junction with Garden Park Rd. Take a left onto Garden Park Rd and bike straight for about 1.5 miles to reach the Garden Park Fossil Area on your right.
