That original building, funded by Andrew Carnegie, was designed as a Greek temple. In 1956, a new building was commissioned, but by the 1990s, a larger structure was needed to accommodate Denver's growing collection. Michael Graves' design answered that call, incorporating new technology and ample space for books and resources.Today, the Denver Public Library offers a wide range of services and programs, including early literacy programs, computer and internet access, and family and adult programs.
