If you are in the heart of Downtown Denver, the Colorado State Capitol is easily accessible by walking. From the 16th Street Mall, head east on 16th Street until you reach Court Place. Take a right on Court Place and continue until you reach Colfax Avenue. Turn left on Colfax Avenue, and you will see the Colorado State Capitol at 200 E Colfax Ave. The total walking distance is approximately half a mile, which should take about 10 to 15 minutes.

Light Rail
You can also take the light rail to reach the Colorado State Capitol easily. Board the light rail at the 'Union Station' stop on the A, B, or G line. Travel to the 'Denver Civic Center' stop. Upon exiting, walk north towards Colfax Avenue. The Capitol will be directly ahead at 200 E Colfax Ave. The fare for the light rail is approximately $3.00 for a one-way ticket.

Bus
Another option is to take the RTD bus. Look for the bus routes that stop at the Civic Center Station. You can take the bus routes 1, 15, or 20. Once you disembark at Civic Center Station, it’s a short walk to the Capitol. Just head east on Colfax Avenue, and the Capitol will be on your left at 200 E Colfax Ave. The bus fare is also around $3.00 for a single trip.
