    The Durango Arts Center is located at 802 E 2nd Ave in downtown Durango. If you're coming from the Durango Transit Center, head east on 8th Ave toward Main Ave. Turn left onto Main Ave and walk north until you reach 2nd Ave. Turn right onto 2nd Ave and continue walking until you reach 802 E 2nd Ave. The Durango Arts Center will be on your left.

    From any location in Durango, find the nearest bus stop that serves the local transit system. Board a bus heading towards the Durango Transit Center. Once you arrive at the Transit Center, exit and follow the walking directions to reach Durango Arts Center. Durango Trolley and Busses are free to ride until August 31, 2024. Otherwise, a trip costs $3.00.

  • Driving

    The Durango Arts Center is located at 802 E 2nd Ave, Durango, CO 81301. From Highway 550 North (Silverton), take Highway 550 SOUTH until you get to the intersection of Highway 550 (Camino del Rio) and Main Avenue. Veer RIGHT onto Camino del Rio (Highway 550). Turn LEFT on College Drive/6th Street. Continue straight on College Drive which turns into Goeglein Gulch Road. Parking is available on the street, with meters costing $1 per hour. There is no parking from 2 to 5 am at any parking meter space in Downtown.

DAC Theatre puts on 4-5 major productions annually, including collaborative adult contemporary plays, summer musical theatre, a 10-Minute Play Festival, and family holiday shows. In addition to its exhibits and performances, the Durango Arts Center is committed to arts education, offering year-round programs for children, teens, and adults. These programs include classes, family art camps, Saturday workshops, and open studios, providing opportunities for learners of all ages and abilities to cultivate their creativity. The Durango Arts Center also coordinates over 80 community events each year, including exhibit receptions, theatre performances, artist lectures, film screenings, and the Durango Autumn Arts Festival. The Durango Autumn Arts Festival is the region's largest outdoor fine arts and fine craft showcase, attracting over 7,000 guests to downtown Durango.
