Getting There

Driving
From Estes Park, drive south on CO-7 (also known as the Peak to Peak Scenic Byway) towards Rocky Mountain National Park. After entering the park, follow signs for Bear Lake Road. Continue on Bear Lake Road until you reach a parking area. From the parking area, Chasm View is a short walk. Note that during peak season, parking at Bear Lake Road can be very limited, and a timed entry permit may be required to enter the park. Check the National Park Service website for current conditions and reservation requirements.

Public Transport
During the summer, take the free RMNP Hiker Shuttle from the Estes Park Visitor Center to the Park & Ride Transit Hub located on Bear Lake Road. From the Park & Ride, transfer to the Bear Lake shuttle to access the Bear Lake area trails, including the short walk to Chasm View. Shuttle tickets and a valid park entrance pass are required. Check the RMNP website for the shuttle schedule and reservation details.

Walking
From the Bear Lake parking area, Chasm View is a short, easy walk along a paved path. The path is mostly flat and accessible to wheelchairs and strollers. Follow the signs from the parking area to the viewpoint. The walk is approximately 0.1 miles.
