Walking
Grand Lake's downtown area and the lakefront are easily walkable. From most points in town, you can reach the boardwalk and lake within a few blocks. Enjoy a leisurely stroll along the lakefront path, explore the shops and restaurants on Grand Avenue, and take in the views of the surrounding mountains. Point Park, located on the channel connecting Grand Lake and Shadow Mountain Reservoir, is a short walk from downtown and offers picnic areas and access to the water. Parking is limited in Point Park.
Driving
If arriving by car, Grand Lake is accessible via US Highway 34. From Denver, take I-70 west to US-40 over Berthoud Pass, then turn right onto US-34 north in Granby. From Silverthorne, take CO-9 north to Kremmling, then east on US-40 to Granby, and finally north on US-34. Once in Grand Lake, parking is available throughout the town, though it can be limited during peak season. Be aware that no parking is allowed on town streets between 2 am and 6 am. *Parking:* Free parking is available on the streets, but it can be difficult to find a spot during the day. There are no parking fees to enter the town of Grand Lake.
