From downtown Estes Park, head north on Elkhorn Avenue. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Moraine Avenue. Turn left onto Moraine Avenue and walk for about a mile. You will see signs for the entrance to Rocky Mountain National Park, where Trail Ridge Road begins. If you have a bike, you can start from the Estes Park Visitor Center located at 500 Big Thompson Ave. Head east on Big Thompson Avenue until you reach the intersection with Elkhorn Avenue.
