    From the Oval on the Colorado State University campus, head west towards College Avenue. Cross College Avenue and continue west on West Laurel Street. Turn left onto Jackson Avenue, then turn right onto West Street. Continue onto Mountain Avenue, and then turn left onto Howes Street. From Howes Street, turn right onto Matthews Street. From there, walk north until you reach the base of the mountain and the trailhead. The hike to the 'A' is a steady climb, so wear appropriate footwear.

    Take any Transfort bus route that stops near the Colorado State University campus. From the nearest bus stop, walk west towards the mountain, following the walking directions. Fort Collins public transportation is currently fare-free.

  • Driving

    From downtown Fort Collins, drive west on Mountain Avenue. Turn left onto Howes Street, then turn right onto Matthews Street. Parking is available along the streets near the base of the mountain, but it can be limited. Check for any 'No Parking' signs and time restrictions. City-owned parking structures are free for the first hour and $1 for each additional hour. Parking is free on Sundays and City holidays.
