Discover more about Iron Mountain Hot Springs

Iron Mountain Hot Springs has been a destination for relaxation and healing for over a century. Originally used by nomadic Ute Indian tribes, who appreciated the therapeutic qualities of the mineral-rich waters, the springs were developed into the West Glenwood Health Spa in 1896. Over the years, the property transformed through various owners and names, including the Wash Allen Bathhouse and the Gamba Mineral Springs. After a period of dormancy, Iron Mountain Hot Springs was revitalized and reopened in July 2015. Today, Iron Mountain Hot Springs features 16 mineral-rich soaking pools, each offering a unique experience inspired by famous hot springs from around the world. Pool temperatures range from 98°F to 108°F (37°C to 42°C). The mineral waters are chemical-free. Guests can also enjoy a larger, cooler freshwater family pool with an attached jetted spa. The Premier Access (21+) area includes additional pools inspired by the Dead Sea and Blue Lagoon. Each of the pools is named after precious and semi-precious stones. The resort also offers amenities such as heated walkways, a retail shop, and the Sopris Cafe. With its stunning views of the Colorado River and the surrounding Rocky Mountains, Iron Mountain Hot Springs provides a serene and lavish soaking experience.
