Getting There

Driving

From Estes Park, drive south on Colorado Highway 7 for approximately 9 miles. Turn right onto Longs Peak Road and follow it for about 1 mile to the Longs Peak Ranger Station and Trailhead. Parking is limited and fills up very early, especially on weekends, so arrive as early as possible (before 4 a.m.). Parking is permitted along the roadside where allowed. There are no fees to park at the trailhead. During the summer, a free shuttle service connects Estes Park with the Park & Ride transit hub within the park. From there, you can access other destinations via the park's free shuttle system.
Shuttle

During peak season (late May to mid-October), take the free Hiker Shuttle from the Estes Park Visitor Center to the Park & Ride transit hub inside Rocky Mountain National Park. Hiker Shuttle tickets are $2.00 per reservation. From the Park & Ride, transfer to the Bear Lake or Moraine Park shuttle. Note that the shuttle does not go directly to Longs Peak Trailhead. The first Hiker Shuttle departs from Estes Park at 8:30 a.m..
