Getting There

    From Estes Park, head southeast on US-36. Look for signs for Hermit Park Open Space. Turn left under the park's entrance arch and follow the dirt road. Continue on the dirt road, staying left at the Y-junction with Hermit's Hollow Campground, and then straight at the next junction. The Kruger Rock trailhead parking area will be on the right. There is a $9.00 entrance fee per vehicle to enter Hermit Park Open Space, payable via card at the self-service fee station.

    From Hermit Park Open Space entrance, follow the dirt road up the hill. Stay left at the Y-junction, bypassing the campground. Continue straight at the next junction. Follow the road to the Kruger Rock Trailhead on the right. This adds approximately 2.5 miles each way to your hike. Be aware of vehicle traffic on the dirt road.
