Getting There

• Car

  If you are traveling by car within Rocky Mountain National Park, head towards Estes Park. From the main entrance of the park, follow Bear Lake Road until you reach the junction with Moraine Park Road. Turn right onto Moraine Park Road, then merge onto US-36 E. Continue on US-36 E until you reach the intersection with Fall River Road. Turn left onto Fall River Road. National Park Gateway Stables will be on your left at 4600 Fall River Rd, Estes Park, CO 80517. There is no parking fee, but note that a park entrance fee may be required.

• Public Transportation

  If you are using public transportation, begin by taking the Estes Park Shuttle from the Estes Park Visitor Center. The shuttle operates during the summer and fall seasons and connects various points in Estes Park to Rocky Mountain National Park. Request a stop at Fall River Road; from there, you can walk approximately 0.5 miles down Fall River Road to reach National Park Gateway Stables at 4600 Fall River Rd, Estes Park, CO 80517. Make sure to check the shuttle schedule in advance for availability and routes.

• Walking

  If you are already in the vicinity of Fall River Road and prefer to walk, ensure you have a good map or GPS. From the closest point on Fall River Road, walk towards the stables located at 4600 Fall River Rd, Estes Park, CO 80517. Be cautious of traffic and ensure you are walking on the side of the road where it is safe to do so. The distance may vary depending on your starting point.
