Getting There

  • Car

    From Estes Park, take CO-7 West towards Allenspark. Continue on CO-7 until you reach the junction with CO-72. Turn left onto CO-72 and continue until you reach the junction with CO-119. Turn right onto CO-119 and follow the signs to Rocky Mountain National Park. Once inside the park, look for the signs directing you to the Bear Lake Trailhead. Park at the Bear Lake parking area (note that there is a fee of $30 for a day pass to the national park). From the Bear Lake Trailhead, follow the trail signs towards Deer Mountain.

    Take the 'Estes Park Shuttle' service from the Estes Park Visitor Center to the Rocky Mountain National Park Bear Lake Trailhead.
