    To reach Forest Canyon Overlook by car, enter Rocky Mountain National Park through one of its main entrances (e.g., Beaver Meadows Entrance). Follow Trail Ridge Road (Road 0), driving approximately 8 miles to the overlook, located at mile marker 11. The parking lot is on the right side of the road. Note that a park entrance fee is required: a 7-day vehicle pass costs $35. During peak season (mid-May to mid-October), a timed entry permit is also required. Parking at the overlook can be limited, especially on weekends.

  • Public Transport

    If using public transportation, take the Estes Park Shuttle from downtown Estes Park to the Beaver Meadows Visitor Center. From there, a shuttle service operates during the summer months to access Trail Ridge Road. This shuttle will take you to Forest Canyon Overlook. Check the shuttle schedule in advance. Shuttle fees range from $15 to $25 per person for a round trip. Park entrance fees still apply.
