Driving
From Denver, take I-70 west to the Georgetown exit (Exit 228). Follow County Road 381 (Guanella Pass Scenic Byway) south for approximately 9 miles to the Guanella Pass summit. The trailhead parking is on either side of the road. Parking is free, but the lots fill up quickly, especially on weekends; arrive early. During winter, Guanella Pass Road is closed, adding mileage to the hike.
