Discover more about The Broadmoor Seven Falls

The Broadmoor Seven Falls, a privately-owned attraction managed by The Broadmoor resort, has drawn visitors for centuries with its natural beauty. The falls are located within a box canyon, framed by the Pillars of Hercules, rock formations rising nearly 900 feet. The seven falls themselves cascade down the steep canyon walls in a distinctive zig-zag pattern. Each of the seven falls has its own name: Bridal Veil, Ramona, Hill, Hull, Feather, Weimer, and Shorty. In 1872, Nathaniel Colby homesteaded the land, later selling it to the Colorado Springs Land Company. James Hull purchased the property in 1882 and began improving it, constructing a road and stairway. In 1946, Al Hill added a tunnel and elevator to the Eagle's Nest, along with nighttime lighting. The Broadmoor acquired the falls in 2014, adding Restaurant 1858 and the Broadmoor Soaring Adventure zip line. Visitors can explore the falls via a 224-step staircase, or take an elevator to the Eagle's Nest. Hiking trails offer different views, with options for both short and longer hikes. Dining is available at Restaurant 1858, located at the base of the falls. For thrill-seekers, the Broadmoor Soaring Adventure offers zip line courses above the canyon.
