    From downtown Steamboat Springs, Howelsen Hill is easily accessible on foot. Head west on Lincoln Avenue (US HWY 40), then turn onto 5th Street towards the Yampa River. Cross the bridge, and turn right at the stop sign. The Howelsen Hill parking area will be directly in front of you. The walk is approximately 10-15 minutes from most downtown locations.
