    During the summer (June 14 - September 14), parking at the trailhead is restricted. From Breckenridge, take the free Breckenridge Free Ride or Summit Stage bus to the South Gondola Parking Structure. Park for free using the code from your shuttle confirmation email. Purchase a shuttle ticket for approximately $7 ($0 for Summit County residents with prior validation) at www.hikequandary.com. The shuttle drops off at the Quandary Peak Trailhead, where you'll board a free on-site shuttle to McCullough Gulch, running from 8 am to 4 pm.

  • Driving

    From Breckenridge, drive south on CO-9 for 8 miles. Turn right onto Blue Lakes Road (CR 850), then right again onto McCullough Gulch Road (CR 851). During the restricted period (June 14 - September 14), parking at the trailhead requires a reservation purchased at www.hikequandary.com. Full day parking costs $30 (non-peak) or $55 (peak). Short-term reservations are also available for $10 (non-peak) or $20 (peak). Parking tickets are $100. Outside of the restricted period, parking is free and first-come, first-served.

  • Taxi/Ride-Share

    From Breckenridge, a taxi or ride-share to McCullough Gulch Trailhead is approximately 8 miles. Expect to pay around $14 - $23 for a 5-10 mile trip.
