From the main entrance of Bear Mountain State Park, head southeast on Seven Lakes Drive. Continue for about 9 miles until you reach the intersection with Route 301. Turn left onto Route 301 and follow it for approximately 5 miles. Take a right onto Wood Creek Road. After about 1 mile, you will reach Sweetcake Mountain Lake Reserve, located at 51-99 Wood Creek Rd, New Fairfield, CT 06812.

Starting from Bear Mountain State Park, you will need to make your way to the nearest bus station, which is located in Peekskill. From Bear Mountain, drive or take a taxi to Peekskill Metro-North Station. From there, take the Metro-North train toward Grand Central Terminal.
