Bus
From Danbury, head to the Danbury Transit Center located at 1 Patriot Drive. Take the CT Transit bus route 7 towards New Haven. The bus will take you directly to the New Haven Green area. Make sure to inform the driver that you want to get off at the New Haven Green stop. The journey takes about 45 minutes.
Train
Make your way to the Danbury Train Station at 1 Railroad Place. Take the Metro-North Railroad's Danbury Line towards Grand Central Terminal and get off at Bridgeport Station. From there, transfer to the Metro-North’s New Haven Line towards New Haven and get off at New Haven Union Station. Once you arrive, you can either walk or take a short bus ride (CT Transit bus route 1) to the New Haven Green, which is just a few blocks away.
Bicycle
If you prefer cycling, rent a bike from a local bike shop in Danbury. Head south on Main Street and continue until you reach the intersection with I-84. Follow the bike path that leads to the south towards New Haven. This route takes you through scenic areas and parks, and will take approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes to reach the New Haven Green located at 250 Temple St.
Walking
If you are feeling adventurous, you can walk from Danbury to New Haven. Start by heading south on Main Street, then follow the path along the scenic trails towards the New Haven area. This will take approximately 3-4 hours, so make sure to wear comfortable shoes and bring water.
