Getting There

• Car

  From Hartford, Connecticut, take I-91 South toward New Haven. Merge onto I-95 South toward New York. Take exit 40 for Route 162 toward Milford. Turn left onto Route 162 E and continue until it becomes Silver Sands Parkway. Follow signs for Silver Sands State Park. The park entrance will be on your left.

  From New Haven, take Metro-North Railroad's New Haven Line towards Grand Central Terminal. Get off at Milford Station. From the station, you can take a local bus (such as the Milford Transit District) or a taxi to Silver Sands State Park, which is approximately 2 miles away. If taking a bus, check the schedule ahead of time to ensure timely service.
