From there, transfer to the westbound M23 bus, which stops directly in front of Chelsea Piers. Alternatively, the M14D and M12 bus lines are a short walk to the piers. A single subway or bus ride costs $2.90. You can pay using OMNY or a MetroCard.

From Midtown, a typical ride costs approximately $15-$25, depending on traffic. Note that there is a $2.50 rush hour surcharge from 4 PM to 8 PM on weekdays, excluding holidays. Also, there is a New York State Congestion Surcharge of $2.50 (Yellow Taxi) or $2.75 (Green Taxi) for all trips that begin, end or pass through Manhattan south of 96th Street.

Chelsea Piers is accessible via well-marked crosswalks at 22nd, 20th, and 18th Streets from the West Side Highway. Follow the signs to Pier 61. From the 34th Street-Hudson Yards subway station, walk west on 34th Street towards the Hudson River until you reach Chelsea Piers. Then the entrance to Pier 61 will be on your left, marked by signs for City Cruises.

On-site parking is available at Chelsea Piers. Enter through the vehicular entrance off the West Side Highway. Hourly rates apply, with short-term parking (up to 1 hour) costing around $22.86 plus tax. There is also a 18.375% NYC parking tax. There is complimentary 20-minute parking for drop-offs. Parking space is not guaranteed.
