Walking
If you are starting from the Greenwich Metro-North Train Station, exit the station and head south on Railroad Avenue. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with East Putnam Avenue (Route 1). Cross over to East Putnam Avenue and turn left. Walk along East Putnam Avenue for about 0.5 miles until you reach the intersection with Greenwich Avenue. Turn right onto Greenwich Avenue and continue walking for approximately 0.3 miles. The Fourth Ward Historic District will be on your left after you pass the intersection with West Elm Street.

Public Transit (Bus)
From the Greenwich Metro-North Train Station, you can take the local bus. Look for the CT Transit Bus #10 or #11 outside the station. Board the bus and ask the driver for the nearest stop to the Fourth Ward Historic District. You will ride for about 10-15 minutes. Get off at the stop closest to Greenwich Avenue and follow the walking directions from the previous option to reach the Fourth Ward Historic District.

If you prefer to bike, you can rent a bike from a local rental service in Greenwich. Start at the Greenwich Metro-North Train Station, head south on Railroad Avenue, then take a left onto East Putnam Avenue. Continue for roughly 0.5 miles. Turn right onto Greenwich Avenue and bike along it for about 0.3 miles. The Fourth Ward Historic District will be on your left. Please be cautious of traffic and bike in designated lanes.
